Copper Enameling: Saturday Sessions – 3-Hour Instruction
Saturday Sessions take place on the first Saturday morning of each month, with available classes rotating throughout the year. All sessions listed are for 2026. *In observance of the 4th of July Holiday, the July class meets on the second Saturday, July 11, 2026, 10am-1pm.
Note to students: All materials and tools necessary for your class are provided. We will be working in hot kilns - 1500ºF - and sifting powdered enamel. Students will need to wear close toed shoes and natural fiber clothing; no shorts, tank tops, sandals, or flip flops. Particle masks will be provided and are required.
•To register: select one module from the seven offered. Choose your preferred module from the options menu for its scheduled date.
•To register a private group: select from either the single module group or 2 module group option.

Once you’ve paid, your registration is final and non-refundable, unless the module you selected is already full. In that case, you may choose to receive a refund, switch to another module, or receive credit toward a future session.

Class Descriptions:
Module #1 - Introduction to Enameling
Curious about copper enameling? Join us for a hands-on introduction where you’ll learn the fundamentals of this vibrant art form in a welcoming, small-group setting. This class covers everything you need to get started — no experience required.
Module #2 – Stencil Layering & Multi-Firing
This class offers hands-on experience exploring advanced layering techniques using stencils to create vibrant, multicolored effects.
Module #3 – Wet Floating Enamel Techniques
Master the art of creating painterly gradients, blended colors, and flowing effects on copper surfaces.
Module #4 – Separation & Crackle Enamels
Master organic, wild, and unique patterned effects with special enamels!
Module #5 – Creating Texture.
Learn sgraffito, glass inclusions, and more to make your pieces textural.
Module #6 – Mock Cloisonné
Simulate classic cloisonné with simple wirework and opaque enamels to create vibrant color fields!
BOOKING FOR PRIVATE GROUPS •

Groups of four can book a private workshop at a mutually convenient date. You have the flexibility to choose from any of the seven modules, and your private workshop can be structured in one of two ways:
- A single 3-hour module (timing to be arranged)
- Two different 3-hour modules on the same day, with a break for lunch
Sample schedule for a full-day workshop:
- Morning Session: 9am–12pm
- Lunch Break: 12pm–1pm
- Afternoon Session: 1pm–4pm
SATURDAY SESSIONS : COPPER ENAMELING
Steer clear of harsh chemicals—they can ruin some enamel finishes. If your piece needs cleaning, just wipe it gently with a soft, damp cloth. Skip anything abrasive. For jewelry with sterling silver or gold, you can use a polishing cloth every so often to keep it looking shiny
